If you are careful, it can hands be smoothed out b applying some new compound and sanding once dry. You might also consider clear plastic corner covers.
Ah, yes! Welcome to the world of big dogs. Gotta love 'em though! We take never replaced the bead. We've used compound fill up, sanding that smooth, then paint/prime and now most of our corners accept plastic covers on them to keep that problem from repeating. At least they didn't eat the wall. We've experienced that, too!

There is a quick setting spackle out on the market that works really well. You can patch an area with information technology, shine it and paint actually quickly. I have used it many times and have e'er been pleased with the results.
Every bit for preventing information technology happening again, the plastic corner molding sounds like it would work and if you wanted to clothes the area upwards a little bit you can buy it in white rather than just articulate. Or even woods grain but if all the other trim is white I would stick to white.
I would imagine the all-time solution would exist to utilise sheet stone mud (non official name of product). Spread it on moderately with a iv inch scraper, permit dry out and sand as necessary. Repeat if not all the divits are filled in. Prime then paint.
Get with the clear corner covers afterwards repairing the wall. The clear is barely noticeable on the painted wall. (Nosotros accept them.) If y'all get with white or wood, you volition have a long strip of white/woods that will call attention to itself.
